• The MOMentum Peer-to-Peer Network exists to provide a safe, supportive space where Canadian elite women athletes can connect, share experiences, and navigate the complexities of family planning together. Whether considering egg freezing, adoption, or pregnancy, or managing the challenges of postpartum recovery, miscarriages, returning to competition, and balancing motherhood, this network offers a trusted community of athletes who truly understand the journey.

Through mentorship, shared stories, and resources, we ensure no athlete has to face these decisions alone.

  • The MOMentum Peer-to-Peer Network operates primarily online, allowing athletes to connect on their terms. MOMentum is happy to help coordinate larger group meetups in major cities to foster in-person connections.

    1. Browse & Connect – Those seeking support can browse the network and request a conversation with a peer through the MOMentum website, Instagram, or email.

    2. Facilitated Introductions – Once a request is made, MOMentum helps facilitate the connection, ensuring both athletes feel supported in initiating their conversation.

    3. Flexible, Athlete-Led Support – From there, peers decide how and when they connect, whether through a single conversation, ongoing check-ins, or in-person meetups.

  • MOMentum’s Peer-to-Peer Network thrives because of athletes willing to share their experiences and support others. If you’d like to be part of this network in a supporting role, simply fill out our intake form and we’ll be in touch.

Know an athlete who should be part of this network? Encourage them to join! We welcome all elite women athletes who have navigated family planning and want to support others.

Not sure how you'd like to contribute? Reach out via email—we’d love to hear from any athlete who wants to be involved in any way.

  • Confidentiality is at the core of the MOMentum Peer-to-Peer Network. All conversations and requests remain private, ensuring a safe space for open and honest sharing. This network supports every stage of the family planning journey—whether an athlete is exploring options like egg freezing or adoption, navigating pregnancy and postpartum, or balancing high-performance sport with parenting. We are committed to inclusion, welcoming adoptive, step, queer, and non-biological mothers, as well as those considering parenthood in any form. By joining, you agree to foster a respectful, inclusive, and empowering community where every athlete feels supported.
